Swiss musician Stephan Sulke (79, "Uschi, mach kein Quatsch") is planning a new album and tour for 2024. It is due to start in April, with stops in Lübeck, Hamburg, Düsseldorf and many other cities, he told the German news agency DPA.
The album "Stephan Sulke 80" is planned for the spring. The singer-songwriter celebrates his 80th birthday on December 27.
He never runs out of ideas for new songs, said the Swiss. As long as his soul is functioning, he sees no reason not to be creative. Age has made him more relaxed. "I used to have a lot of worries, mostly things that didn't happen. Today I think: why should I worry about things that I can't change?"
Life just blooms a little less in old age. "The flowers are more wrinkled," he says. He also takes a relaxed view of the future: "I can certainly see my downfall, but not that of the world," said Sulke.
