SP receives Beat Jans at its Christmas dinner in Bern

Late on Wednesday afternoon, the parliamentary group and personalities of the SP celebrated their new Federal Councillor Beat Jans at the Progr cultural center in Bern. At the annual Christmas dinner, the SP welcomed the Basel native with a standing ovation.
The atmosphere was festive, as a reporter from the Keystone-SDA news agency noted on site. The outgoing Federal Councillor Alain Berset and Justice Minister Elisabeth Baume-Schneider were also present
Around one hundred people were present, said Colin Vollmer, media spokesman for the party, on request. Federal judges and personalities from the party were also invited to the dinner. The Christmas dinner began shortly before 5.30 pm.
