Squatters leave the University of Freiburg

The activists who occupied the entrance hall of the University of Pérolles in Fribourg this week left on Friday. They did so in response to a request from the police.
Legally, the conflict is not yet over. As announced, the Rectorate has filed a criminal complaint for trespassing against the Coordination estudiantine Palestine collective. This was confirmed by a university spokesperson on request.
Around 50 people occupied the entrance hall this week. They let an ultimatum to leave lapse on Wednesday. The activists now complied with the police's request before the long Whitsun weekend.
The Student Council of the General Student Body of the University of Freiburg (AGEF) condemned the violence in Gaza on Thursday, but at the same time distanced itself from the occupiers.
