Customers of Swiss banks are generally satisfied with their financial institution. The most positive ratings were given to security and online banking, the most negative to interest rates, fees and charges.
This is the result of a representative online survey of 1,500 people by the internet comparison service Moneyland, which was published on Thursday. Swiss bank customers rated the criterion of security best with an average of 8.2 out of 10 points. Online banking (8.1 points), the friendliness of staff (8.1 points) and smartphone banking (8.0 points) were also rated as "very good".
General satisfaction and customer service (7.8 points each), advice (7.7 points) and value for money (7.4 points) were rated as "good". The lowest scores were given to interest rates with an average of 6.4 points and fees and costs with 6.9 points.
There are no major differences in satisfaction between women and men, Moneyland wrote. The differences between the German and French-speaking Swiss are also small.
In terms of general satisfaction, the following providers are at the top on average, all of which received a "very good" rating: In first place is the online bank Zak with 8.8 points, ahead of Thurgauer Kantonalbank with 8.5 points. Third place is shared by Clientis-Banken and Neon with 8.4 points.
