Swiss Cableways with Mixed Results in August

The Swiss cableways have seen an overall increase in guests and revenue for the summer season compared to the last five years. However, the month of August saw a decrease of 5% compared to the same period last year. This was due to the high demand for international travel from Swiss citizens after the turbulent coronavirus year. The biggest losses were seen in the Waadtland and Freiburg Alps and the Eastern Switzerland. However, the Central Switzerland, the Bernese Oberland and the Waadtland and Freiburg Alps all welcomed significantly more guests than the average of the last five years. Graubünden saw a slight decrease in guests. Overall, the results of the Swiss cableways for the summer season are above the average of the last five years.nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
