Swiss Exports Decrease in June

In June, Swiss exports decreased by 1.7% seasonally adjusted and 0.9% real compared to the previous month. This decrease follows an increase in the first quarter. All sectors except watches, bijouterie and jewellery saw a decrease in exports in the second quarter of 2023. Exports to North America, Asia and Europe decreased by 4.8%, 3.0% and 1.2% respectively. Imports decreased by 5.4% seasonally adjusted and 3.0% real in the second quarter, while imports increased by 3.7% seasonally adjusted in June. The trade balance surplus in June was 3.31 billion. Overall, Swiss exports decreased in the second quarter of 2023.
