Cross-border trains between Switzerland and Germany are also affected by the strike announced by the German Train Drivers' Union (GDL) for the period from Wednesday evening to Thursday. This was announced by SBB on Tuesday evening via X (formerly Twitter).

Tickets that have already been purchased will remain valid for a later date, according to the announcement. The train connection has been lifted. Travelers also have the option of bringing their journey forward due to a special concession from Deutsche Bahn. In this context, SBB recommended setting off early enough to arrive safely at their destination before the start of the strike at 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
