Switzerland Tourism exhibits 45 legendary objects at the Maison Suisse

Ursula Andress' evening dress in "Dr. No", the Apollo solar wind sail from the University of Bern and a Valais Tschäggättä mask from the 1937 World Exhibition: these and other objects will be on display at the Maison Suisse in Paris during the Olympic Games.
The exhibition entitled "Liaisons suisses" at the Swiss Embassy in Paris includes a total of 45 "exceptional objects" from five centuries, Switzerland Tourism announced on Wednesday. They all come from seven tourist regions in Switzerland and are intended to show the past and present links between Switzerland and France.
In addition to Andress' Bond evening gown, the Apollo solar wind sail and the Lötschental mask, the objects on display also include a spiral necklace immortalized by Pablo Picasso from the Lucerne museum founder Angela Rosengart, the X-ray apparatus of the young Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, who studied in Fribourg, the "Traccia" table (1936), which Meret Oppenheim exhibited in Paris in the 1930s, and the silver jewelry of the first female artistic director of the Galeries Lafayette, Jonja Knapp.
The structure of the pavilion consists of the USM Modular Furniture system and stands on a floor made of the Grisons stone that was also used for the Bundesplatz. The exhibition will be decorated with plants and flowers that are part of Switzerland's cultural heritage. The exhibition will run from July 24 to August 11 and from August 27 to September 8. It was curated by Christian Herren and Johnny Graf.
