Tamedia is also cutting jobs in German-speaking Switzerland

Tamedia, a Swiss media company, has announced a staff reduction in its German-speaking Swiss media outlets. Up to 20 jobs are to be cut as part of a cost-saving program. This follows the announcement of 28 job cuts in the French-speaking part of Switzerland on Wednesday. The total savings of the program amount to 6 million Swiss francs, with 3.5 million francs coming from the French-speaking part and the remaining 2.5 million francs from the German-speaking part. This is in addition to the 70 million francs in savings that the Tamedia titles have had to make in the past three years.
