Tensions between motorcycle rockers in Lower Valais

The Valais cantonal police deployed a large contingent to prevent a clash between rival motorcycle clubs in Conthey VS on Saturday. According to the authorities, this was followed by provocations between members of two groups on the A9 highway.
The "Alchemy Tatoo Expo" exhibition in Conthey attracted more than 200 members of the Hells Angels, the Valais cantonal police announced on Saturday evening. The conditions laid down by the police were fully complied with on site.
In the middle of the afternoon, however, members of a motorcycle club were intimidated on their way home by people traveling in cars. The police followed the suspects and eventually arrested 15 people. The Valais cantonal police were supported by the Vaud and Fribourg cantonal police.
According to the communiqué, around one hundred police officers were deployed on Saturday.
