The Swiss Federal Council has proposed a temporary financial support for the providers of the electronic patient dossier (E-Patientendossier) in order to promote its spread before the comprehensive reform of the law. The proposed Federal Law on the E-Patientendossier is currently in the consultation phase. The Federal Council has proposed a maximum of CHF 30 per opened dossier, with the cantons having to contribute at least the same amount. This financial support is intended to ensure the spread of the E-Patientendossier until the comprehensive reform of the law comes into effect.
