The police break up the occupation of the University of Basel

After two ultimatums expired on Wednesday afternoon, the police evacuated the occupied Bernoullianum at the University of Basel. The University of Basel has filed a criminal complaint. This was announced by the police on X.
The university had previously asked the protesters to leave the premises by 08:00 on Wednesday morning. This was after an initial deadline had expired on Tuesday evening. The Bernoullianum at the University of Basel had been occupied by pro-Palestinian activists since Monday afternoon.
