A clash broke out on Thursday night at the University of Geneva, which is occupied by pro-Palestinian students. Three opponents of the protests wanted to tear down Palestinian flags.

The three people were led away by security staff, university spokesman Marco Cattaneo told Keystone-SDA. He was confirming a report by the French-language television station RTS. There was no physical violence during the incident. The university has launched an investigation.

The university "regrets this unacceptable event", as the spokesperson said. All the more so as a dialog between the university management and the protesters is underway.
