Ticino Cantonal Bank: Some Customers Affected by Phishing Attack

In the past few days, some customers of the Tessiner Kantonalbank have been victims of computer fraud. This type of fraud has been increasing in Switzerland recently. A small number of customers have been affected, despite the bank having a high level of monitoring and sensitizing customers about the problem. The fraudsters created websites that resembled the bank's InLinea E-Banking program, and then advertised them on search engines. This allowed the fraudsters to steal the access data of some customers who believed they were on a genuine InLinea page. The bank has taken immediate action to protect the interests and assets of its customers, applying intervention protocols and working with IT experts to neutralize the threats as quickly as possible. As a precautionary measure, the bank has temporarily suspended certain e-banking users.
