Trial scheduled for the murder of an Egyptian diplomat

The trial of a man and a woman accused of murdering an Egyptian diplomat will take place in the Federal Criminal Court on December 2. The victim was shot six times in the underground parking garage of his apartment building in Geneva in 1995.
The man, a 54-year-old Italian-Ivorian dual citizen, is alleged to have fired the shots. According to the indictment issued by the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland (OAG), he must answer for murder. The woman, a 49-year-old Italian-Swiss woman, is said to have been involved in the manufacture of the homemade silencer that was left at the scene after the crime. She is charged with accessory to murder.
The program of the Criminal Court sets the start of the hearings for 2 December. The hearings will last until December 19 and the verdict is scheduled for January 27, 2025.
