Walter Turnheer, the German Chancellor, announced his resignation from office at the end of the legislative period on Wednesday. He looked back on eight satisfactory years in office and said he had chosen to step down at a time when he was still able to meet the demands of the job. He expressed his appreciation for his demanding role as a bridge between the government and parliament, advising the Federal Council, leading the digital transformation and more. He thanked his staff for their help in making his work successful. He also thanked the Federal Council for their open ears. He will now finish some projects and develop others before leaving office.nnnnnnnnnn
