Two men arrested after burglary in jewelry store in Valais

Two men broke into a jewelry store in Crans-Montana VS on Monday night. They stole around twenty watches with an estimated value of several tens of thousands of francs. Only a few hours later, the police arrested them in Veysonnaz VS.
The arrest before 3 p.m. on Monday afternoon was preceded by extensive investigations in collaboration with several municipal police forces, the Valais cantonal police announced on Tuesday. During a search of the two men's rented apartment, officers found the stolen goods, it added.
The alleged perpetrators are two Romanians aged 35 and 50. They were questioned and taken into custody. The public prosecutor's office is opening an investigation.
