Two people seriously burn themselves while barbecuing in Ticino

A 20-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man suffered serious burns while barbecuing in Agarone TI early on Wednesday evening. The young man splashed flammable liquid into the barbecue fire to rekindle it. The fire flared up explosively.
An ambulance took the 18-year-old man from Thurgau and the 20-year-old woman from St. Gallen to hospital. The medical staff diagnosed both of them with serious burn injuries, as reported by the cantonal police in the evening.
