On Monday, the Uri government ordered the shooting of a wolf from the Realp region. It is said to have already killed 14 domestic goats on the Schweig alp in the Witenwasserental valley in the past few days. Ten more domestic goats are missing.

The shooting permit was limited to 60 days, as announced by the Security Directorate on Tuesday. The shooting perimeter corresponds to the alpine perimeter of the wolf kill in the Witenwasserntal valley. The Cantonal Office for Forestry and Hunting is responsible for the shooting.
