The Swiss sports parliament has clearly backed plans for the 2030 or 2034 Winter Olympics in Switzerland. After the resounding yes to the Swiss Olympic plans for 2030, the process continues as follows.

- Next week, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will decide with which federations it will enter the next phase, the dialog phase. In addition to Switzerland, France and Sweden are also bidding

- At the beginning of the dialog phase, the Swiss bid committee must complete an IOC questionnaire by the end of February

- 24 guarantees must be delivered by the end of March

- The 2030 and 2034 Winter Games are to be awarded before the Summer Games in Paris. Salt Lake City/USA is the clear favorite for 2034. If France is still among the candidates at that time, the IOC regulations prohibit an award at the IOC Congress in Paris
