Woman escapes from prison in Hindelbank BE

On Saturday night, a woman escaped from the Hindelbank BE prison. The woman is a 21-year-old from the canton of Vaud.
As the Canton of Bern's Security Directorate announced on Saturday, the woman was in the Hindelbank correctional facility on early normal release. An immediate manhunt has not yet led to an arrest. The woman is not considered dangerous, according to the statement.
How the woman managed to escape from prison is the subject of an investigation.
