The three victims of the scaffolding collapse on a construction site in the west of Lausanne on Friday are three workers. The Vaud cantonal police reported in the evening that the victims had been identified.

According to the information provided, the victims were a 43-year-old Swiss man, a 35-year-old man from Cape Verde and a 30-year-old Frenchman. Eight people were also injured when the scaffolding collapsed in the morning. Four of them suffered serious injuries and two sustained moderate and two minor injuries.
