The Young SVP Switzerland has announced the resignation of its president. After four years in office, David Trachsel will step down at the Annual General Meeting on March 9. Five other members of the party leadership are leaving with him.
The party can look back on four eventful and successful years under Trachsel's leadership, according to a press release issued on Thursday. During this time, the Young SVP has become a well-known brand thanks to its clear profile and strong presence in the media. The 29-year-old also managed to multiply the annual budget of the Young Party.
Trachsel is stepping down as President because he wants to focus on his career and his family, wrote the Junge SVP. The two Vice Presidents Andreas Gerber and Sacha Turin, General Secretary Lukas Fritz Hüppin as well as Léa Milevaz and Léonard Martin are also not standing for re-election.
