Zurich GLP deals with Sanija Ameti’s exclusion from the party

The Green Liberals in the canton of Zurich have initiated the expulsion proceedings against Sanija Ameti as demanded by the national party: This process will be conducted internally and will take time, the cantonal party announced on Wednesday.
"The internal process for dealing with the concerns of the Swiss Green Liberal Party has begun", the press release states. The GLP Zurich now wants to consult all affected committees, organizations and individuals.
The Zurich GLP writes that it will take time to come to terms with what happened and to take the right course of action. "The fact that a personal exchange with Sanija Ameti is difficult due to the current situation is having a delaying effect."
Last week, Ameti posted pictures on Instagram showing her with a gun during shooting practice, as well as a picture of Jesus and Mary riddled with gunshots. The 32-year-old subsequently apologized, but the digital media was already abuzz.
