The agricultural cooperative Fenaco has appointed Michael Feitknecht as its new CEO. He will take over next year from Martin Keller, who announced his resignation a month ago after more than 13 years at the helm.

As of July 1, 2025, Feitknecht will take over the operational management of the cooperative and the Corporate Development division, as the company announced on Friday afternoon.

Feitknecht was born in 1983 and has been with the cooperative since 2018. He was most recently Head of the Crop Production Department.

Before joining Fenaco, he worked for ten years at Syngenta in various management positions in Switzerland, Spain and South and Central America.

The handover from Keller to Feitknecht will be staggered. From January 1, 2025, Feitknecht will initially take over as Head of the Department of Communication/Development/Human Resources.

Feitknecht’s successor has already been appointed. Jürg Friedli will take over responsibility for the Crop Production Department from the beginning of 2025 and will also join the extended Executive Board.

Fenaco has also initiated the succession process at the head of the Agriculture Division.

Markus Hämmerli will take over from Heinz Mollet from January 1, 2026. Hämmerli joined the cooperative in 2010. He has headed the new Fresh/Food Safety Department since 2022.
