Holcim Board of Directors Welcomes Microsoft Switzerland’s Catrin Hinkel

Holcim brings Catrin Hinkel in on as a member of the Board of Directors, bringing tech experience and a vision to the group.

The building materials group Holcim has proposed Catrin Hinkel as an independent member of the Board of Directors.

The head of Microsoft Switzerland is to be elected together with Michael McGarry, who has already been nominated, at the Annual General Meeting on May 8.

With the election of Hinkel, the Board of Directors will grow to eleven members, ten of whom are considered independent, as the company announced on Wednesday.

Hinkel has been in charge of operations at Microsoft Switzerland since May 2021. Before joining Microsoft, she held various management positions at the consulting firm Accenture.

In total, she has more than 25 years of experience in the technology industry.

In addition to her work at Microsoft, Hinkel is also a member of the Executive Committee of Digital Switzerland. She also sits on the board of the industry association Asut and on the supervisory board of the Cispa Helmholtz Center for Information Security.
