Geneva will be the global capital of inventions from April 17 to 21: Over a thousand inventions from around 40 countries will be on display at the inventors' fair at Palexpo. The public is the focus of this year's edition.

The 49th edition of the Inventors' Fair will take place under the motto "All inventors, all inventors". Budding inventors are invited to develop their own ideas in workshops and learn about the various phases of an invention - from the creation of an idea to securing funding or launching it on the market.

Energy, environmental protection, household, agriculture, sport, games, textiles and health: more than a thousand inventions from various fields will be exhibited on an area of 15,500 square meters. There are 825 exhibitors, mainly companies and universities - around 20 percent are private inventors and researchers.

The trade fair offers professionals the opportunity to acquire licenses, purchase patents or conclude production contracts. An international jury of 82 experts will examine each submitted invention to award one of the numerous prizes and awards. The Inventors' Fair is held under the auspices of the International Intellectual Property Organization.
