The A1 highway was closed on Saturday afternoon at the border between the cantons of Fribourg and Bern due to a serious traffic accident. This was announced by the Fribourg cantonal police on the short message service X.

The road was closed between the Kerzers FR and Mühleberg BE junctions. The Fribourg cantonal police did not initially provide any details about the accident.
