“Don’t take any risks”: BVB keeper Kobel leaves

Goalkeeper Gregor Kobel from Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund has left the team quarters of the Swiss national team and returned to Germany. According to the Swiss Football Association (SFV), Borussia and the SFV have decided not to take any further risks. The 26-year-old had missed four of Dortmund's last six competitive matches due to muscular problems.

The Swiss will play Denmark in Copenhagen on Saturday and Ireland in Dublin on Tuesday. After Kobel's departure, six Bundesliga players will still be in the Swiss squad.
