Fatal Accident: Senior Killed in Collision with Tree in Messen, Switzerland

On Sunday afternoon, an 80-year-old driver crashed into a tree in Messen SO, resulting in fatal injuries. The cause of the accident is still unclear, according to the Solothurn Cantonal Police, who released a statement on Monday. After the accident on Sunday at 1:50 p.m. on Ramsernstrasse in the direction of Oberramsern, first responders attended to the man, the police further reported. In addition to an ambulance, a rescue helicopter was also in use. Despite resuscitation measures, the senior died on the spot. Police and prosecutors have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
