Investigation Against Abbot of Saint-Maurice for Abuse

Abbot Jean César Scarcella of St. Maurice has stepped down from his position in the wake of the Catholic Church's abuse scandal. An apostolic special investigator, Joseph Bonnemain, is investigating the allegations against Scarcella. The Chur Bishop Joseph Bonnemain has been appointed to lead the investigation, which is being conducted by the Bishops' Council, the authority responsible for such allegations in Rome.
