Lidl Switzerland Gets New Chief from Austria

Lidl Switzerland is undergoing a change in its management. CEO Torsten Friedrich is leaving the retail company at the end of September 2023 for personal reasons. Alessandro Wolf will take over the position in summer 2024. Until then, Nicholas Pennanen, the current Lidl country manager in Finland, will be in charge of the business in Switzerland. Wolf is currently the CEO of Lidl Austria and will return to Switzerland in summer 2024. He previously worked in various positions at Lidl Switzerland between 2008 and 2019, including Chief Real Estate Officer and Chief Operating Officer. After Wolf's appointment as the new CEO, Pennanen will move to Austria and take over the leadership there.nnnnnn
