Man in Lengnau BE Hit by Train and Killed

On Saturday evening, a man was fatally injured after being hit by a train at the Lengnau BE train station. According to initial findings, the man had attempted to cross the tracks shortly before 11pm. Despite the train's emergency brakes, the collision could not be prevented. Emergency services found the man's lifeless body at the scene. The police have launched an investigation into the incident and its background. The formal identification of the man is still pending, but there are concrete indications of his identity. The accident caused disruptions to the train service, with replacement buses being deployed.
