Niesenbahn Evacuates Guests by Helicopter Due to Technical Defect

On Saturday evening, 140 guests of the Niesenbahn in the Bernese Oberland were flown out of the valley by helicopter due to a technical defect in the railway system. The defect occurred around 19.30. Two helicopters flew the guests to the Reichenbach airfield. Specialists have since been sent to the mountain to search for and fix the fault, but it is currently unclear how long the operation will be suspended. The Niesenbahn attempted to inform all 120-150 guests and the two groups booked for today about the failure.nnnnnnnnnn
