Passenger on snowmobile dies in accident

The 61-year-old passenger of a snowmobile died in an accident early on Sunday evening above Olivone TI. The 69-year-old driver lost control on a left-hand bend. The snowmobile plunged 20 meters down a slope. The driver was uninjured.

The accident occurred shortly after the departure from the Dötra hut, according to the Ticino cantonal police. The rescue services were only able to determine that the passenger had died. The man had lived in the canton of Graubünden.
