After a slight increase in the previous year, the Quickline cable network association lost some ground again in the 2023 financial year. Sales fell by 0.7 percent to CHF 245 million, although the company, which is primarily active in the Central Plateau, was able to attract more customers.

Quickline announced in a press release on Wednesday that the drop in revenue was primarily due to the decline in digital connections and the erosion of margins for Internet services. The company did not provide any information on profits.

Quickline's strongest growth was in mobile telephony, where the number of customers rose by 16.9% to 99,100 and thus remained just below the 100,000 mark. Quickline also gained subscribers in TV streaming (+7.7% to 78,700) and Internet (+2.0% to 181,000).

In contrast, the industry's usual decline in fixed-line telephony (-4.8% to 101,200 customers) and linear TV (-0.9% to 299,800) continued.

In 2022, Quickline launched its expansion beyond its traditional distribution area, which is mainly in the Swiss Plateau and Valais. This means that Quickline's TV, internet, landline and mobile services are now also available in other locations.
