Switzerland Supports Slovakia with 44.2 Million Francs

Switzerland and Slovakia have signed an implementation agreement to support programmes in the areas of vocational training, sustainable tourism and health in Slovakia. The Swiss contribution of 44.2 million francs will be supplemented by a Slovak contribution of 7.8 million francs. The programmes aim to strengthen areas where Switzerland can offer a unique value due to its expertise and experience. In the area of tourism, sustainable concepts in and around national parks and protected areas will be developed. The attractiveness of practical education in Slovakia will be strengthened by making vocational training more flexible and accessible. Health prevention will also be supported as Slovakia has one of the lowest life expectancies in Europe. The agreement provides the necessary basis to develop and implement the agreed programmes by the end of 2029.
