The Freedom Movement Launches New People’s Initiative Against E-Voting

The Freiheitliche Bewegung Schweiz (FBS) has launched a new Swiss federal initiative. This time, it is targeting e-voting. A first such initiative failed to materialise in December 2020; it sought to ban electronic voting for at least five years. The Swiss federal initiative "For a Secure Vote and Election" was submitted to the Federal Chancellery on Tuesday, according to a statement from the FBS on Wednesday evening. The Freiheitliche Bewegung Schweiz is the author of the initiatives "For Freedom and Physical Integrity", which was launched in connection with the Covid-vaccination and rejected by the people, and "Cash is Freedom", for which the Federal Council will present a counter-proposal. The new initiative calls for the postal voting to be made more secure and demands that the reply envelope sent back to the municipality in future meets security criteria.nnnnnnnnnn
