Zurich Film Festival Honors Geneva Producer

At this year's Zurich Film Festival (ZFF), Michel Merkt will receive the Career Achievement Award. The 50-year-old has produced and co-financed over 100 author films, 15 of which have been shown at the ZFF in recent years. The native of Geneva will receive the award on September 30th and present his last film "Passages". Merkt announced in 2020 that he was giving up his role as a producer to become an advisor for festivals and public and private institutions. The ZFF is honoring Merkt with the Career Achievement Award for his work which has shaped and enriched the film landscape. The 19th Zurich Film Festival will take place from September 28th to October 8th.nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
