It has been announced that there is to be a handover of top management from CEO Frankie Ng to Géraldine Picaud.

There will be other changes to the Executive Board at goods inspection group SGS. Marta Vlatchkova will become the new Chief Financial Officer. She will take over from Picaud on May 8, as SGS announced on Tuesday.

Vlatchkova is currently Head of Accounting at generics manufacturer Sandoz. There, she oversaw the transition of the accounting department from a Novartis division to an independent listed company. Prior to this, Vlatchkova held leading positions in finance at Holcim and Essilor.

SGS is streamlining its Executive Board. Only twelve people will now sit on the board. Previously, 15 people belonged to the Operations Council. In addition to Vlatchkova, Martin Oesch will also join SGS as General Counsel.

In contrast, the Operational Activities division is made up of six members: Steven Du (Asia Pacific), Malcolm Reid (Europe), Teymur Abasov (Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa), Derick Govender (North America), Jeff McDonald (Business Assurance) and, as of July, Rafael Navazo (Latin America).

Charles Ly Wa Hoi (Connectivity & Products and Health & Nutrition) and Egidijus Jokubauskas (Industries & Environment and Natural Resources) will join the Global Business Development division.
