Swiss Firm: Terra Quantum’s – Hybrid Computing Expands into Asia

Terra Quantum is a Swiss-based company founded in 2019 by Markus Pflitsch, a dedicated quantum physicist, senior financial executive, and deep tech entrepreneur.

Terra Quantum AG, a leader in hybrid quantum computing, has joined forces with MegazoneCloud Corporation, a top-tier South Korean cloud managed services provider according to a press release.

This partnership, solidified through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), paves the way for collaborative development of quantum computing solutions tailored for the Asian market, with a strong focus on South Korea.

The alliance is set to leverage the complementary strengths of both companies, combining Terra Quantum’s prowess in quantum software development with MegazoneCloud’s expertise in cloud solutions.

This synergy aims to propel advancements in various sectors including financial services, manufacturing, and smart city initiatives, enhancing the technological landscape across Asia.

South Korea, in particular, stands to benefit significantly from this partnership. The country has set ambitious goals to advance its quantum technology capabilities, aiming to reach 85% of the United States’ level by 2035.

This commitment is evident in South Korea’s substantial investment in the quantum sector.

Both companies express enthusiasm for the partnership, with Markus Pflitsch, CEO of Terra Quantum, emphasising the importance of democratising access to quantum computing globally.

Max Lee, CEO of MegazoneCloud, echoed this sentiment, underscoring the potential for quantum-enhanced solutions to create significant impact across industries.
