Vantage Data Centers invests over CHF 370 million in a second Zurich campus, ZRH2, enhancing the EMEA region’s computing power.

Vantage Data Centres, a leader in hyperscale data centres campuses, unveils plans for its second Zurich campus, ZRH2, poised for a summer opening claims a press release.

With a CHF 370+ million investment, ZRH2 aims to bolster the region’s computing capabilities, offering 24MW of critical IT capacity.

In Glattfelden, 30 km north of Zurich, ZRH2 enhances accessibility, close to ZRH1 and the Airport. This is Vantage’s 33rd global campus, responding to the surging demand for data centres driven by advancements in artificial intelligence and high-performance computing applications.

David Howson, President of Vantage EMEA, emphasises Zurich’s strategic importance in the data centre market, attributing it to its central location and financial prominence.

The new campus not only underpins Vantage’s growth strategy in EMEA but also demonstrates its dedication to environmental stewardship and community engagement through innovative waste heat reuse and green infrastructure initiatives.
