Berger and Berset: Swiss Tales of Corruption and Stupidity

Switzerland’s Vaccination Commission this week said that young, healthy people do not need the Covid mRNA shots, even though it urged them to get injected. Meanwhile, the President of Switzerland is facing criminal charges for claiming that the mRNA shots could prevent Covid transmission when he knew otherwise. What did our government officials know and why didn’t they tell us? An editorial look at the crisis.

The Corrupt: The Berset Affair

In Switzerland, the Coronavirus crisis has taken an ugly twist.

The office of President Alain Berset has been caught illegally sending confidential Federal Council covid policy pre-release papers to a media outlet, Ringier Medien, back in 2021 along with voluminous back and forth ad-hoc communications. It is alleged that Berset was trying to influence public opinion to favor his policy decisions in advance of their rollout. Berset does not deny the allegations and instead justifies his silence by saying that he cannot comment on things under legal investigation.

A Zurich blog, ‘Inside Paradeplatz’, has made further allegations that Berset and Ringier’s boss made stock market gains from the front-running of Covid policy rollouts. The claims are still officially under investigation by the Swiss financial regulator, FINMA, according to Bloomberg. One newspaper scoffed, saying that Berset’s crime was in being caught. The boss of Ringier, Mr. Walder, the very recipient of the stolen goods stated that ‘everyone does it’ and laughed it off. NZZ, the main Zurich newspaper, said basically the same thing.

However, in a glimmer of hope, the Federal prosecutor is hard at work and one Berset accomplice is already in jail. Opponents from other parties and media outlet Tages-Anzeiger term this a crisis in the credibility of government. Moreover, they are calling for Berset’s head.

The Swiss Times agrees. An example must be made: Such corruption simply cannot be tolerated and must be rooted out, exposed, and punished. Back-room cozy deals with third parties cannot be tolerated in a democracy for they create an atmosphere of distrust in basic democratic processes and taint everyone else in positions of power, even the honest ones, with a cloud of suspicion. They cultivate and sustain ‘conspiracy theories’ which, more often than not, turn out to be true.

Berset engaged in a cynical attempt to bolster his career and potentially his wallet. He clearly and deliberately twisted public sentiment, with accomplices, in order to win votes for his position ahead of a referendum on the Swiss ‘Mobile Covid Pass’ – a totalitarian measure instigated to enforce conformity to his very own vaccination rules.

Worse, it became clear that Berset knew full well that the Covid mRNA shots did not and could not block infection or prevent transmission – critical information he also withheld from the public. This latter point is the subject of a criminal complaint made against Berset by Swiss former banker and lawyer Pascal Najadi, as this paper covered back in December, 2022. In that case, Berset had a report on his desk from Federal Office for Public Health’s head of infection control Virginie Masserey, a department that he was in charge of, which stated that the shots did not reduce the contagiousness of Covid-19. In the end Masserey resigned, while her boss Berset continued playing cynical politics.

And this is all happening in Switzerland?

Trust has been severely damaged. Berset must face removal from office, expelled from Parliament, and criminally prosecuted. Anything less will only encourage others to do the same, or worse. Deterrence has always been an integral part of justice.

The Stupid: The Berger ‘Confession’

On Monday, comes a fascinating interview by Tages-Anzeiger with the president of the Swiss Federal Vaccination Commission, Christoph Berger, who happens also to be a noted physician at the Zurich University Children’s Hospital. He has held the Vaccination Commission post since 2015. In his interview he admits:

“Yes, it is clear that there are undesirable vaccination symptoms, even severe ones.” 1/23

Back in 2021, Berger was a serious supporter of Covid mRNA treatment, for example stating in the Aargauer Zeitung in October 2021:

“More people react more to this vaccination than to other vaccinations. Many do not feel so well after the second dose, but after a day or two everything is over. It is good manners to tell each other about the side effects. But if you ask people if they would stop going for vaccinations because of that, no one says no. People want to get out of the pandemic. But perhaps younger and healthy people are undecided because they think vaccination is primarily for the elderly and vulnerable. You have to convince them that vaccination benefits everyone.” 7/21

Berger, an actual physician, should have known better at the time. A great many professionals, most of whom were “cancelled” on social media, were calling for Covid ‘vaccines’ to be halted, not the least of whom Dr. Robert Malone, the lead inventor of the team who created mRNA technology (he was also cancelled). But top physicians such as Dr Berger who take on a public policy role have a fiduciary duty to the public to investigate and research everything before making such recommendations. Berger had the information at his disposal but he failed in his duty to investigate and to caution. He let himself become a propagandist, or at least, a ‘useful stooge’ of one of the most corrupt industries on the planet, producing mostly worthless drugs simply to increase profits.

The price the public pays for this is mRNA-induced disability, and too often, death. As we all now know, the panacea promised by Berger and others turned into a nightmare with long-term mRNA damage now being discussed among former professional promoters such as UK’s famed Dr Aseem Malhotra – clots, myocarditis, auto-immune diseases, neurological damage. It’s now considered likely by some that even ‘long covid‘ has been misattributed to Covid-19 infection instead of the real culprit – mRNA jabs. Everyone knows someone who got ‘boosted’ and ended up with a bad case of Covid-19 anyway, probably the result of ADE (vaccine-induced immune-system failure), a known deadly side-effect of poorly designed vaccines. Cases where people became gravely ill following an mRNA booster dose are widely occurring (we all know someone) but rarely reported via official channels. The US’s VAERS system is clogged with reported cases of serious mRNA injuries (a tiny fraction of actual cases are reported there), which have all but gone unnoticed in the mainstream press. All for a drug that lasts months at best and never did stop infection or transmission – contrary to the claims made from late 2020 onwards. Those were deceptive, fraudulent statements that convinced many to take them, propagated by the likes of heavyweight influencers such as Dr Berger.

Berger, like many of his class, became nothing more than an echo-chamber for the corrupt Pharmaceutical-Medical-Regulatory cartel. As a result, public confidence in government health advice and pharma generally has been gravely damaged for a generation if not more. The public rightly should and must be suspicious of such professionals and government leaders such as Berger and Berset. We do not call for people like Dr Berger to be prosecuted, for most of them are likely naïve parrots who were swayed by group-think, but they must atone for their sins with public statements of contrition, as Dr Malhotra and Dr Malone have done.

The Swiss public expects and deserves better than such corrupt and idiotic behavior.
